Circle of Control

What is control? According to good old google, it means “the power to influence or direct people's behavior or the course of events”.


Instead of reacting to or worrying about the things that they have no control over, proactive people focus on things they can control. They work on the things they can do something about. Reactive people focus on the outer circle - things in which they have no control.


This diagram represent our circle of control. The inner circle represents what we can control and outside of that represents things we cannot control.


When we gain awareness on which areas we are spending our energy and efforts on, we are taking a big step closer to becoming proactive and emotionally healthier. Next time you find yourself facing a problem. Before you react, ask yourself “what can I control?” focus on that and let go of those things you cannot control and let God handle the rest. 😉✨
